Living Earth: Embodied Anatomy of the Pelvis

$10.00

The elegance of the anatomy of the pelvis is often overlooked, or given the burden of being a place where we store all our traumas. We might have trauma woven into the tissues of our pelvis. But we also have ancient joy. Hips don’t lie, like Shakira said.

In this Embodied Anatomy session, you’ll learn:

  • The anatomy of the pelvis and the low back, which includes an amazing tapestry of nerves, muscles, veins and arteries, and organs. We won’t cover all the details, but you will leave with an increased awareness of the magic of this part of your own anatomy.

  • In learning the anatomy, you’ll be better able to embody the movement of the pelvis without yanking and pulling on the bones in an effort to constantly “open” the hips. Instead, you’ll learn tools to increase the grace and fluidity of all types of movement.

  • Embodying the stability and support of the pelvis can create an ease of posture and movement that is truly delicious.

  • While we can’t promise that this session will magically eliminate back pain or other issues involving the pelvis, in understanding the anatomy you will be better able to advocate for proper care, and better equipped to prevent injury at the gym, yoga or dance practice, and in your day to day life.

This session will include a guided somatic practice that includes movement. As with all of Abigail’s sessions, the movement is optional and includes as many adaptations as possible to ensure that no matter your ability, you can experience the practice fully.

The live session is on Sept 25 2025, from 12-1pm EST (that’s US EST, not AEST)

The live session will be recorded, and the recording will be shared with all who register, and will then be available on this website as part of the growing Embodied Anatomy library

After the one hour recorded session, there will be time to ask questions which will not be included in the recording.

Members of Anchor Community and paid subscribers to Abigail’s Substack Bones Made of Stardust are able to come to this and all Embodied Anatomy sessions at no cost.

These sessions are not meant to replace qualified medical advice.

No refunds, please purchase responsibly. Please refrain from sharing the zoom link or recording with others.
